Kelley Blue Book:
"When it comes to tackling the needs of growing families, the 2016 Honda Odyssey minivan is the undisputed champ."
At Honda Cars of Boston, a premier Honda dealership located in Everett, MA, we can't tell you how often we find ourselves recommending the 2016 Honda Odyssey to Massachusetts families who seek a great people mover. At Honda Cars of Boston, we firmly believe the 2016 Honda Odyssey is the most flexible vehicle a family can own.
We start by sharing with MA drivers the generous and highly functional interior space. It not only can accommodate up to eight passengers, but the Honda Odyssey's 3rd-row "Magic Seat" splits 60/40, folding into the floor with one pull, while the 2nd-row seats can slide outward 1.5 inches, permitting three child safety seats to be placed side by side. There's also an available in-car vacuum for when Cheerios and Goldfish escape tiny hands. And, if you need small-item storage, there are bins aplenty, and we have a hard time counting just how many cup and bottle holders there are.
As it should be, safety is always a top priority for Massachusetts families considering the Odyssey as the primary people hauler. Families couldn't be happier when we inform them that the current generation Honda Odyssey has been a standout when it comes to safety. In fact, it's been one of the few large vehicles to achieve top ratings from both U.S. safety agencies. The Odyssey has all the safety-feature bases covered, with a standard rearview camera system on all models, and the top Touring Elite getting an Expanded View Driver's Mirror, a blind-spot warning system, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.
From the LX to Touring Elite trim levels, the 2016 Honda Odyssey offers a 3.5-liter V6 with 248 horsepower. A 6-speed automatic transmission routes plenty of power that, more importantly, offers outstanding fuel economy. In fact, the Odyssey handily beats the competition with a highway fuel-economy rating of 28 mpg. What helps the Honda Odyssey deliver this fuel efficiency is its Variable Cylinder Management, which shuts off cylinders depending upon driving conditions for maximum fuel efficiency. But, back to the Odyssey's power. Although none of us here at Honda Cars of Boston would ever describe the Odyssey as a sports sedan, we're all very impressed by its ride quality and handling. It reminds us a bit of the Accord. At Honda Cars of Boston, we all agree that ride is a bit firm, but the Odyssey manages to combine ride comfort and handling prowess better than most family-haulers.
